10 yen (Kyoto XXXIX)

Another trip to Uji, a city south of Kyoto. This rainy day's highlight was undoubtedly the over 1000 year old temple, Byōdō-in. This UNESCO's world heritage site also appears in the 10 yen coin (see the photo collage below). One of the most beautiful temples I've seen here so far. An ethereal and delicate structure.

So much to see if I step outside of my apartment. My hometown, Kyoto, you hold secrets.
